If this is your first time
Read these in order – each page builds on the one before it.
- How to playGuilds of Dawn runs in your browser – nothing to install, a phone or a computer is enough. Below is what your first hours look like.
- CombatFighting earns you XP, coins and loot. Combat is the main way to reach new areas.
- Mining and gatheringAlmost everything you can craft starts with raw materials you gather. It is the slowest part of the game, but also the most reliable.
- Items and gearGear is the main way to change your character. There are no strict classes: different gear simply suits different combat styles better.
- House and GardenEvery account has a House from day one – you don’t have to earn it. Without the Stove, you can’t even cook food.
- MissionsMissions are one long chain that leads you through the whole game and shows you each system in the order you actually need it.

What this Handbook is for
The systems of Guilds of Dawn are connected: gathered raw materials become items, items change your fights, and fights unlock new areas. Each page answers simple questions: what it is, how to start, what you get and what changes as you progress.
Exact numbers are given here only where the number is the rule itself. Balance numbers are tuned and can change, so you’ll always see the real ones in the game.
A bigger Handbook inside the game
Once you log in, you’ll find the in-game Handbook with the full catalog: areas, enemies, items, recipes and plants – taken from real game data. This public Handbook explains the systems; the in-game one shows the specific items.
